Lena Kumar

Lena Kumar, or Lena Abhilash, known professionally as Lena,[citation needed] is an Indian film actress. She debuted in Jayaraj's Sneham which was followed by Karunam, Oru Cheru Punchiri, Varna Kazhchakal. Her breakthrough came through the critically acclaimed Traffic (2011) after which she acted in films such in Snehaveedu, Ee Adutha Kaalathu, and Spirit. Lena is a post-graduate in clinical psychology, and has worked as a clinical psychologist in Mumbai, before she quit her job to enter full-time acting.


 Lena attended the Seventh Day Adventist Higher Secondary School in Thrissur, and Hari Sri Vidya Nidhi School, also in Thrissur. She was married to Abhilash Kumar on 16 January 2004, a screenwriter in Malayalam cinema who co-wrote 22 Female Kottayam, but the two separated. 

Nisha Aggarwal


Nisha Aggarwal is an Indian film actress who appears in Telugu, Tamil and Malayalam films. She is the sister of South Indian actress Kajal Aggarwal. In late 2010, Kajal Aggarwal announced that Nisha would make her acting debut in Telugu films. Nisha had been travelling with her sister to the shooting sets and soon got noticed. Her first Telugu film, she said, happened after the director saw stills of her in a magazine. Her first film was the romantic drama, Yemaindi Ee Vela, which was a box office success. Her performance was praised by critics. Her next film was Solo, which released in late 2011 and featured her as a medical college student, with a reviewer from Rediff stating that she "proves her acting talents in the second half, especially the climax".


She made her debut in Tamil with the film Ishtam (2012), a remake of Yemaindi Ee Vela, which was a box office failure. She appeared as a "chatpata village girl" in 2013 opposite Aadi in Sukumarudu. Later that year she starred in a film titled Saradaga Ammayitho that saw her pairing with her Yemaindi Ee Vela co-star Varun Sandesh again. In 2014, she entered into the Malayalam film industry with Bhaiyya Bhaiyya, playing Angel, an "educated and headstrong girl", who is the daughter of an ex-minister. She has been signed up for another Malayalam film, Cousins, and has completed filming for the Telugu film DK Bose. 

Kajol Devgan


Kajol Devgan known mononymously as Kajol, is an Indian film actress who predominantly works in Hindi cinema. Born into the Mukherjee-Samarth family, she is the daughter of actress Tanuja and late filmmaker Shomu Mukherjee, and the elder sister of actress Tanishaa Mukherjee. Through her successful Bollywood career, Kajol has established herself as one of the most popular and highest-paid actresses in India. She is the recipient of numerous accolades, including six Filmfare Awards, among twelve nominations, and along with her late aunt Nutan, holds the record for most Best Actress wins at Filmfare, with five. In 2011, the Government of India awarded her with the Padma Shri, the fourth highest civilian honour of the country.


In addition to acting in films, Kajol is a social activist and is noted for her work with widows and children, for which she received the Karmaveer Puraskaar in 2008. She has featured as a talent judge for Zee TV's reality show, Rock-N-Roll Family and holds a managerial position at Devgn Entertainment and Software Ltd. Kajol was in a relationship with actor Ajay Devgan since 1995. In 1999, they married, and she gave birth to their daughter, Nysa, in 2003 and their son, Yug, in 2010. She is named as part-time member of Prasar Bharati for 5 years till November 2021. 

Namitha

Namitha was born in Kumarakom as the daughter of Pramod, a businessman and Indu, a housewife. She has a younger sister Akhita Pramod. She did her schooling at Carmel Girls Higher Secondary School in Thiruvananthapuram. She was enrolled at the St. Teresa's College to pursue a BA degree in Sociology in June 2014. She has stated that she was "not going to let [her] acting career compromise [her] studies". Serial actor Kumarakom Raghunath is her father's brother.

In 2014, she was first seen in En Kadhal Pudhithu, her debut Tamil film directed by Maaris Kumar which had a delayed release, followed by Lijin Jose's Law Point in which she played a modern, city bred girl named Maya. In Lal Jose's Vikramadithyan, she played the role of Deepika, a Konkani girl, which required her to speak a few lines in Konkani, a language she had never used before. Her next film Villali Veeran, in which she paired once again with Dileep, had her playing the role of an ad filmmaker.


Her last release in 2014 was Ormayundo Ee Mukham, a romantic drama in which she was cast opposite Vineeth Sreenivasan.Her latest release of 2015 is Chandrettan Evideya. Her recently released Malayalam movie Amar Akbar Anthony starring Prithviraj, Jayasurya and Indrajit directed by popular stage artist Nadirshah where she played a role as a dancer was a blockbuster hit in Malayalam theatres. 

Vidya Balan

Vidya Balan is an Indian actress. She has established a career in Bollywood and is the recipient of several awards, including a National Film Award, five Filmfare Awards, and five Screen Awards, and was awarded the Padma Shri by the Government of India in 2014. She is known for portraying strong female protagonists and has been acknowledged in the media for pioneering a change in the concept of a Hindi film heroine. While pursuing her master's degree, Vidya was cast as the female lead in the Malayalam film Chakram, opposite Mohanlal and was subsequently signed on for twelve other Malayalam language films.


 However, due to production difficulties, Chakram was shelved.The postponement of a film starring Mohanlal was an unheard of occurrence in Malayalam cinema and film producers blamed Vidya for bringing "bad luck" to the project; labelled her as a "jinx" and replaced her in all the films that she had been contracted for. 

Trisha Krishnan


Trisha Krishnan known mononymously as Trisha, is an Indian film actress and model, who primarily works in the South Indian film industries, where she has established herself as a leading actress. She was noticed after winning several beauty pageants like the Miss Madras contest (1999), which marked her entry into filmdom. The film, Selvaraghavan's first Telugu venture, was a family entertainer and received good response especially from the family audience. Trisha's performance was critically acclaimed and won her accolades, eventually resulting in her third Filmfare win. In Kireedam with Ajith Kumar, Trisha tried comedy and received rave reviews.


 Kireedam opened with high expectations and received good reviews from media and audience and was declared a success. Her 2008 Tamil films, Bheema and Kuruvi failed to succeed at the box-office. In Telugu Krishna with Ravi Teja, opened to rave reviews, and became a blockbuster. Her other release Bujjigadu starring Prabhas, directed by Puri Jagannadh was released during Summer and made a decent run. Trisha was praised for her performance in Radhamohan's Abhiyum Naanum. King starring Akkineni Nagarjuna directed by Sreenu Vaitla was a December release and it became a blockbuster.
